I'm Proud of My Dad
My dad is in his late 60s. He retired a couple of years ago, although ‘retired’ for him is a rather loose term.
This morning he’s waking up somewhere in Uganda, where he is the oldest member of a team of people sent by Fields of Life to help build a school.
Before he went, when we were talking about what was in store, he made a comment that has stuck with me. Speaking of the possible culture shock to be experienced on his return to Ireland, he said,
‘I know that after this my life may change and never be the same again’
I hope I’ll still be contemplating life changing adventures when I’m retired.

What a great post and what a great dad!
Dean mentioned this to me… hats off to Pat ! great attitude…
