My Son, the Published Poet
The Jordan household now has a published poet.
My son Christopher’s poem ‘Winter’ has been published in ‘a pocketful of rhyme – imagination for a new generation‘ . It is a collection of poems from school children in Northern Ireland as part of the 2006 Poetry Competition for 7-11 year olds.
To be honest, we’re not convinced too many entrants were turned down, but that doesn’t stop us rejoicing. What do you think?
He comes from good poetic stock – so the blood & bones of a poet are certainly there. It is a nice, wintery kind of poem though – just the suggestion of snow, sleet, fire, coats & rain are enough to make me want to light a fire, make a pot of tea and enjoy the sound of it all. I’m impressed with Christo Jordan.
