My Son, the Published Poet

The Jordan household now has a published poet.

My son Christopher’s poem ‘Winter’ has been published in ‘a pocketful of rhyme – imagination for a new generation‘ . It is a collection of poems from school children in Northern Ireland as part of the 2006 Poetry Competition for 7-11 year olds.

To be honest, we’re not convinced too many entrants were turned down, but that doesn’t stop us rejoicing. What do you think?

  1. He comes from good poetic stock – so the blood & bones of a poet are certainly there. It is a nice, wintery kind of poem though – just the suggestion of snow, sleet, fire, coats & rain are enough to make me want to light a fire, make a pot of tea and enjoy the sound of it all. I’m impressed with Christo Jordan.
    Hope you’re doing well too…
