16 Decisions

Speaking of small local acts of justice and resistance, as I was here, I really enjoyed this post from Maria over on Spiritual Birdwatching.

She writes of 16 Decisions, which are the pledges of everyone who participates in the Grameen Bank in India. Grameen is the work of Muhammad Yunus who pioneered microcredit in India, or at least made the biggest impact with the idea, and subsequently won a Nobel Prize.

Maria encourages us to reshape these pledges for our context and time. Not an easy task, but worthwhile. It’s certainly got me thinking and I posted a suggestion in the comments. You migt like to add your own.
